My swap package arrived yesterday filled with goodies from Kate in Australia.
The tea towel is just lovely with the tiny embroidery stitches and the mini quilt speaks for it self, beautiful. I just love the cherries. I also got a little quilt hanger. Plus 2 chocolate bars and no matter where the chocolate is from, little boys knows what chocolate is. This is the only picture of the chocolate.

Thank you so much, Kate.

When we moved into our apt Mom sent me 2 plain blue kitchen towels. I thought they would look much better applique’d.
I haven’t decided what to put on the other one. Flowers? Patriotic? Food? I’ll show you once I decide. Oh the flipflop pattern I used is a Pat Sloan free pattern.
Happy quilting!

Betsy showed us her friend recently. Betsy’s friend is very straight. My friend on the other hand is a little crooked. I have a friend that looks like Betsy’s but I find my crooked friend is much easier to use.
This is actually the second friend I’ve had that looks like this, the first one I lost in the move to NM. Now I don’t recommend surgery as they are used to remove sutures so you can get a pair of these but the next time you are at the dr, ask the nurse if they have a pair you can have. They are disposable after all and if you purchase a pair at the drug store it will cost you approximately $15, free is so much better.

Sunday I printed out the instuctions for the cottage blocks. I went Saturday in search of the perfect fabric to make my July cottages. Obviously the fabric designers did not take a look into my mind as I didn’t find the perfect July fabric but I did find some I will be happy with. I just hope the other cottage makers will be happy also.
I made a test block and I don’t like it. I do intend to add up hills to it but by the time I got this point my was entirely too friendly with my seam ripper. Nasty little gadget!
I do think the actual blocks for the swap will go much better but I do think it will take me from now until July 1st.
I will show the swap block after everyone receives it.
Happy quilting!

I made these Oreo Mint cupcakes because everyone loves cupcakes. According to Nikolas you have to take the cookie off the top of the cupcake first and eat that. Then one of your parents must remove the paper cup from the cupcake, tear in half and then eat.
He ate everyone like that.
Head on over to Megan’s Munchies for great easy recipes.
I also made the Banana Toffee cupcakes but they went so fast I didn’t get a photo.
Happy baking!

My swap partner posted that she received the mini quilt and towel. I thought they turned out pretty good.
I have one more swap to complete and then I must get busy doing some of my quilting projects. I love the swaps but I seem to put my projects on the back burner to meet the deadline.
Happy quilting!
