My swap package arrived yesterday filled with goodies from Kate in Australia.
The tea towel is just lovely with the tiny embroidery stitches and the mini quilt speaks for it self, beautiful. I just love the cherries. I also got a little quilt hanger. Plus 2 chocolate bars and no matter where the chocolate is from, little boys knows what chocolate is. This is the only picture of the chocolate.

Thank you so much, Kate.

My swap partner posted that she received the mini quilt and towel. I thought they turned out pretty good.
I have one more swap to complete and then I must get busy doing some of my quilting projects. I love the swaps but I seem to put my projects on the back burner to meet the deadline.
Happy quilting!

Only 1 more post about the kitchen mini swap after this one where I will show the towel and mini quilt are revealed. I quilted the mini quilt Wednesday morning, it didn’t start off to well but ended very well. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get my free motion quilting to look right, so I cross hatched. Here is the sneak peek.
I’m excited to get my kitchen theme goodies.
Happy quilting!

It took me 2 days to decide on a background for the quilt-let. What was my problem? Thinking too hard probably. This is the fabric I decided on and yes I know it is blurry. I did that on purpose.
I think this will be beautiful with the applique’ on it. I’m thinking I will use this for the backing also but that decision is subject to change. I thought I had a photo of the applique’ pieces I could show but the only picture I have of the pieces shows what the design would be. So another day I will give a sneak peak.
Happy quilting!

Surely you didn’t think I was going to show you the tea towel for the kitchen theme Mini Booty Swap? I do need some help with it. I think it needs a yo-yo where the branches come together?
What do you think? I do think the towel turned out cute and will match the quilt very well.
I need to do more towels, I always think they are so cute when they are done.
Happy quilting!

Thanks to the darling spider I am now a week behind on everything. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecccccccccccccckkkkk! I’m sure spiders are of the devil. There isn’t a lot of things that creep me out but spiders do. I’ve been know to abandon my vehicle on the side of the road because of a spider. I understand that I can easily smash one with a tissue but I can’t get past how creepy they look. I can shoot a snake, I can dress a deer out, I can take a mouse out of a trap but I can not stand to look at a spider. *shudders*
Moving on! I haven’t done anything this past week but lay in the bed, lay on the couch and sit at the computer for brief periods of time. By Thursday I was losing what mind I had left and my favorite son-in-law drove me to Walmart to buy a book. After browsing the books and magazines, I came home empty handed and went back to bed. Note: For those of you that don’t know, Jon is my only son-in-law but he is still my favorite.
I think it was on Tuesday that I received a box from Betsy. Betsy had sent me an email stating to open the main box as there was something in the box for the boys. I was sleeping when the mailman dropped off the package but when I woke up Nikolas met me in the hall with the package saying “Na Na” I have no idea how he got Na Na out of GranGran. Nikolas grabbed this piece of fabric so it will become a quilt for him.
The other two pieces were cloth books.
How cute! I have never made a cloth book but I intend to get busy on these projects as soon as I get my Holiday Swap done. Everyone is having fun with this package that Betsy sent.
I think everyone has squeezed the package and made a guess. lol Thank you so much, Betsy.
Starting this morning I must keep my nose to the grindstone. Today I will be working on my quilt for the Holiday Booty Swap and I’m hoping (crosses fingers) by day’s end I will be working on the binding. I want this package in the mail no later than Wednesday. I will work mornings starting Monday, in the afternoon I am not planning anything in case I need to rest and at night I will work on the prayer shawl.
I’m sure by now you are dieing to know what I’ve been pondering. Why is it that the good pills are always as big as a horse? Now keep in mind horses are HUGE!
Anyone that know the answer to this, please share.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

I’ll go backwards using the title.
WPW=Wacky Pack Wannabe. I am now an official member. WOOHOO!! These talented quilters sound like they have way too much fun and I know I want to be involved in that. Click the bee in my sidebar and check them out.
Crocheting… Well tonight it became obvious that I was out of practice calculating how much yarn was needed when I enlarge a pattern. So now I am forced to go back to Hobby Lobby to purchase another skein of yarn. Poor me! I hope they are not having a sale.
This is where I am at with the prayer shawl and that is 2 skiens and it only called for 3. Whether I decide to give this to Mom or keep it for myself, both of us are just a tad fluffy.
Definitely will not big enough to keep a fluffy gal warm.
I’ve been quilting on the Holiday Mini quilt. I really don’t think I will finish it tomorrow but I probably will finish it Monday afternoon after work.
That’s all you get to see until my partner receives it. Well, I might take a photo of it in the washer.
One more photo. You know you want to see what a dirty baby looks like that puts himself to sleep.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
