The doctor didn’t do any bloodwork. He did swab his throat because it was red with white spots. “Yep, looks like either 5th disease or measles. Let’s just let it run it’s course.” The Army isn’t happy and Nikolas has another appt in the morning at 0920.

poor thing! hopefully you and the rest of the family will be lucky.
I’m just glad he isn’t itchy. The doctor said adults can’t get Fifths disease. I really need to research that. There must have been some concern though because he told my daughter not to eat or drink after him. hmmmmm
I hope he gets better real soon.
Thanks
I hope Nikolas recovers quickly! He’ll have to curl up under one of his grammy’s beautiful quilts and rest while he’s recovering.
Thanks! He has been dragging his lasgna quilt around. I think he likes that one the best because it is soft since it was backed with flannel.
Urk. I’m almost hoping it’s Fifths! It’s contagious, but it doesn’t seem to make little ones as miserable. I’m amazed there wasn’t bloodwork – it’s not an expensive or complicated test, but maybe he was pretty sure. Hope Nokolas feels better soon!
I did not want it to be measles, I was worried about Nikolas and my daughter since she is pregnant. Thanks
